St Mary Magdalene’s is a small school in the Elizabeth Catholic Parish for Reception to Year 6. We are a welcoming Catholic community with the Mercy tradition and values embedded in all we do. Our school is inclusive and respectful for families with different spiritualities, faith and life journeys.
Our staff play a vital role in outworking the school Mission which is, ‘We are grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. We work to connect life, faith and learning through every aspect of life.’
As a result, our school is diverse and caring. We offer excellence in contemporary teaching and learning including specialist teaching in Physical Education, Chinese, STEAM, and the Arts. Staff and students have access to the latest learning technologies. The school’s Restorative Practices approach assists students in becoming confident self-regulators of their own learning and behaviour.
We provide a differentiated and personalised learning intervention for students based on their needs. We work in partnership with parents in guiding children towards becoming the best that they can be. Parents and students have a voice in decision-making at the school through participation on the School Board and through Student Leadership.
The school provides Before and After School Care as well as Little Maggie’s playgroup. Staff organise and provide a Breakfast Club and run a Community Hub, offering free English lessons and other programs to connect families to our school and the wider community.
