T4, Week 9 2022
Dear Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the contribution that they have made to the St Mary Magdalene’s School community throughout 2022. It has been another year impacted by Covid-19 and we acknowledge the difficulty that has presented to our families, our staff and our community. We pray that we can soon put Covid-19 behind us.
Congratulations and thank you to our students for their dedication to their learning, the forging of friendships and for having some fun along the way. Thank you to our staff who do a fantastic job every day to ensure our students are safe, learning and developing into good citizens. I pray that everyone has a safe and restful holiday and returns renewed and refreshed in 2023.

Liturgical Events and Celebrations
End of Year Liturgy
Last week we gathered as a community for our end of year Liturgy. This was a chance for us to give thanks for the blessings we have had throughout the year. It was also an opportunity to celebrate our Year 6 students as they prepare to leave our school.
Getting ready for Christmas
During Advent we can prepare for Christmas by…
Decorating the Christmas tree and making ornaments
Making Christmas cards for school friends, neighbours and family members
Doing some Christmas baking
Singing Christmas carols
Donating old toys (in good condition) so they can be given to those who might need them
Creating a nativity scene
Watching a Christmas movie
Listening to some stories from the bible
Saying a prayer every day
Counting down the days to Christmas with an Advent calendar
Choosing an act of kindness to do each day until Christmas day
We wish all of our students, families and staff a Christmas filled with PEACE, JOY AND LOVE.
Never Ending Gratitude
To all students I say a very big thank you for always being so willing to help lead our liturgical celebrations throughout the year. You make those celebrations extra special for our school. The extra help you offer is always noticed by staff and we appreciate how you step up and take the lead at any opportunity.
